Therapist Overview

I believe therapy is a collaborative process and I work with clients to help them clarify their goals and identify and work through the conscious and unconscious obstacles that hinder their progress. I have trained in a number of therapy modalities (interpersonal, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, systems) and use an eclectic and flexible approach which takes into account the specific needs of each client. I utilize insight, cognitive behavioral strategies and psychodynamic techniques to help clients work through their difficulties. I combine a warm, empathic, positive approach with a careful exploration of the individual issues. I specialize in helping people improve their relationships, reduce anxiety/depression and manage difficult life transitions. Whether my clients are working on challenges in intimate relationships, career/education changes, mid-life concerns or other transitions, I provide a safe environment where clients can freely explore the depths of their experience.
