Therapist Overview
I am a couples, individual, and family counselor based in Austin, TX. I specialize in Imago Relationship Therapy, developed by Dr. Harville Hendrix and Dr. Helen LaKelly Hunt in 1980, which is built on the idea that conflict is a natural occurrence in human interaction and moving through it with openness and curiosity allows for our relationships to deepen and expand. Often when we are stuck, we numb out. Often when we are afraid, we get defensive. Thankfully there are tools like the Imago dialogue that can assist us in fostering a more loving and conscious presence with ourselves, our partners, and our families. I believe that people are inherently creative, resourceful, and whole, and I am driven to facilitate powerful conversations in order to enrich the lives of my clients. I value vulnerability, play, humor, inquiry, engagement, and authenticity and am interested in the stories we tell that invariably shape and define our lives. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, Co-Active coach, and certified Imago Relationship Therapist with advanced degrees in poetry and social work. I partner with clients who are interested in healing, re-connection, growth, and a greater sense of well-being. I look forward to collaborating with you. (Supervised by Dana Jones, LCSW-S)
