Therapist Overview
Feeling at the end of your rope because of your child’s disruptive or anxious behavior? Plagued by all the “what ifs” if it’s not under control soon? Mine is a collaborative treatment approach where I work to equip caregivers of young children with the therapeutic tools, understanding, and skills to address challenging behavior more competently. I involve caregivers because they see more progress, more quickly as part of the process. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, grief, trauma, and depression to help boost emotional resilience and find relief using Acceptance Commitment Therapy. To address challenging anxious child behavior, I was trained at the Yale Child Mind Institute in the “S.P.A.C.E.” approach to help reduce cycles that can feed anxiety. For children ages 2 to 7, I am certified in the highly effective Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). As a school consultant, parents can count on the most current developmental resources. With adults, we’ll step back and take stock, then work together to choose creative and targeted ways to ease distress in line with your values and to build emotional resilience. So, when extenuating life circumstances arise that take you off course, let’s get to work to find your rudder again so you can steer in a more confident & compassionate direction.
