Therapist Overview
You’re adulting and doing the things that are supposed to lead to success and happiness, but finding your brain won’t let you enjoy any of it. “High functioning anxiety” means you’re conscientious and you get so much done–but you’re constantly worried and stressed, and the imposter syndrome is real. You’re frustrated that you spend so much time thinking, planning, and analyzing your life, yet you haven’t figured out a way to feel better. For a while it felt easiest to put your job and other people first, rather than acknowledging your own needs and boundaries. But it’s not sustainable and you’re ready to try something new. My clients are empathic, thoughtful, and smart. They want to build meaningful lives and authentic relationships, but thanks to their anxiety, they feel stuck in place or burnt out. We work on getting them to a place where their worries and inner critic and no longer call the shots, and they can finally appreciate all they’re working for. With online therapy, I am able to see clients anywhere in New York. Visit www.tartellcounseling.com, where you can learn more about my specialties and approach.
