I chose to become a therapist after working as a classroom educator for 21 years, because I saw that the needs of my students were not being met through the educational system or through their family system. Today, children and adolescents face a variety of emotional issues that are difficult for them to express, name, and discuss with adults in their lives. Many young people feel as if no one is listening or will listen to them; adolescents struggle with wanting respect and concern about their feelings. I want to help empower them and allow them to be heard. I work with children and adolescents, who are verbal, between the ages of 4 and 24, families, and couples. I specialize in autism, behavioral issues, educational concerns, infertility, miscarriage, and mood disorders.
