Therapist Overview
My passion is working with men’s issues, LGBTQ+ folk, people raised in oppressive environments, and writers/artists. In healing my own trauma, in my training, and guiding others, I know well the remarkable power of mind/body integration. I will be with you every step of the way as you emerge into a loving, connected and free self. My holistic approach to therapy is down-to-earth and gentle, centering in mindful awareness of the present moment and how your past is shaping it. I work with anxiety, depression, and early childhood trauma. We will collaborate in session to help you reconnect with innate strengths, resources, and wisdom. Employing mind/body integration and traditional talk-therapy, we will use mindfulness as a foundation to feel more compassion toward yourself, which will help you come more in line with a truer self. Allowing yourself to slow down in session, you may closely examine what feels authentic. Learning to listen to your body’s voice will reveal deeper truths. I am dedicated to the integration of mind, body, and spirit. I did a year Internship in Somatic Psychotherapy at Portland’s META Clinic, in addition to training in Integral Counseling in San Francisco. Growing up gay in an invalidating environment, I understand isolation, being an outsider, a misfit, and my work has confirmed there is power in otherness.
