Therapist Overview
I have over 15 years of experience working with adolescents and families in settings such as experiential education, boarding schools, juvenile detention, civic center, Community Mental Health, and adventure based trips. More recently I have been working individually with members of the military. As a US Marine its important to me give back. I have also been working individually with adults recently and found joy in that as well. I like to offer my clients an opportunity to choose from an office visit to a walk and talk at a nearby trail or park. Through my research I have found that clients with difficulties like depression and anxiety respond best to treatment in the great outdoors. I offer clients unique experiences through Adventure Based Counseling trips to places like the Manitou Islands in Sleeping Bear Dunes. I also offer unique group counseling that is conducted through experientially based activities with small, more intimate, groups of teens, adults and families.
