Therapist Overview

***I am not currently accepting new clients.***I believe that therapy is a collaboration. As a therapist my first step is to help clarify why therapy is sought. From there we work together to develop strategies for relief, in the short and long term. My role is to provide information about the treatments that could be pursued; with information and context, one can then make informed choices about the best path forward. Common treatment options include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness interventions. A brief treatment is usually all that is needed, but I offer longer-term depth work when required. I received advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for adults and adolescents at Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress in Seattle, WA. Areas of specialty include trauma-related concerns, anxiety, depression, internet/technology addiction, pornography addiction and sexual health. The therapy space should be a place where people of all races, cultures, gender identities, and sexual orientations can feel welcome. This is a top priority of my practice.
