The process of psychotherapy is uncovering the pain, either developmental, situation specific or just existential, and working through it within the bounds of a trusting, accepting and empathetic therapeutic relationship. Throughout the process, I will help you uncover and become comfortable with your authentic self, while bringing into the consciousness some of the themes and motives that have unconsciously ruled your life and became a part of who you are. My interest is working with people suffering with developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, coping with daily life stress and parenting and family issues. I have trained in a psychoanalytic modality of therapy, however I have a background of working behaviorally with children, families and parents. Since the process of therapy can at times be difficult, I believe a strong therapeutic alliance and the fit between therapist and the patient is essential.
