I enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples who are seeking to better understand how their relationships and emotional reactions are shaped by their experiences. Together we will explore how we continue to be impacted by the past, examining ways to break out of old, ineffective patterns and identify and build upon your individual and family strengths to improve your future. As a family oriented therapist, my approach seeks to strengthen relationships and enhance personal growth by examining the interpersonal dynamics of families of origin and those of choice, so as to better understand the roles we play and the impact that these relationships have on our current relationships. I employ a direct, matter-of-fact, solution-focused approach to addressing personal, family, and relationship problems. I encourage personal accountability in an effort to increase one’s sense of self-control and self-determination.
