Therapist Overview
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in health and human services since 2011. I earned my Masters degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and my Bachelors degree in Philosophy from Boston College. Prior to graduate school, I volunteered with the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa and also taught Hatha Yoga. I employ trauma-informed care with a focus upon Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness. I offer my clients an open and nonjudgmental space to process feelings, learn effective strategies, and achieve their goals. I support my clients’ identity development and empower them through life stressors and transitions. I engage with clients to understand their innate strengths and identify personal, academic, and professional goals. My office is inviting, friendly, and I work to create a positive space for you to explore what you need to feel happier, calmer, and successful. I utilize skill-based approaches, so you have a take-away from each and every session and our intake staff finds the best fit to work with your scheduling needs. I look forward to working with you!
