Therapist Overview

As a psychotherapist I work with adults (including young adults 18+) who are experiencing difficulties with relationships, anxiety, depression, school/work challenges, parenting issues, family conflicts, grief and loss, life transitions, or other problems that may get in the way of a more balanced, satisfying life. With each client, I seek to create an empathic, judgment-free space where you can explore your feelings, gain insight, and improve coping skills that can help to enhance your life and relationships. My approach is interpersonal and relational–working within a psychodynamic framework toward goals we will set together. I received my MSW from NYU. I completed postgraduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in NYC. I bring over 24 years of clinical experience–primarily in private practice in NYC–to my practice here in Richmond. I believe the relationship between therapist and client is essential to the success of our work–
