Therapist Overview

I offer therapeutic interventions with warmth and compassion, focusing on strengths to help identify opportunities for change and actualization. My primary areas of experience include depression/anxiety and other mental health concerns, substance use/recovery, and concerns related to gender or sexuality. In addition to treating depression and anxiety, I work with people who have been diagnosed with affective disorders such as depression. I work generally in areas of gender and sexuality and specialize in LGBTQ communities. I also have specialized training in PTSD and trauma. I use a relational approach along with eclectic interventions based on what will best help achieve someone’s goals. I also aim to view problems within their context, and see my work as deeply rooted in social justice. My interventions most often include motivational approaches, cognitive behavioral interventions, and mindfulness.
