Therapist Overview
Hi, welcome to New Haven Therapy, please visit www.newhaventherapy.com for more information. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a third-generation counselor. I obtained my doctorate in Psychology at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and have worked at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the Veterans Administration, and community mental health clinics. I am trained in psychodynamic, multicultural, and cognitive and 3rd wave behavioral therapy modalities. This means your treatment with me is carefully designed for you. My areas of clinical expertise are multicultural psychology, trauma, and health issues and my research interests include the integration of culture into psychological services, ethics, and social justice psychology. Specialty areas include growing a family through advanced reproductive technology, infertility, and miscarriage. Therapy, to me, is a combination of bearing witness, holding hope, developing skills, and deepening curiosity and compassion for one’s own internal life. If you’re reading this, it’s probably because some part of you is suffering in some way and whatever you’ve been trying isn’t working as well as you’d hoped. I can help with that.
