I approach therapy with the understanding that individuals often feel constrained by their circumstances, but that within those constraints lies profound and unearthed adeptness for both acceptance and change. I am a believer that suffering deepens our life experience, and draw upon the knowledge that building new constructs to improve life-phase situations can increase meaning in people’s lives and allow for greater understanding of the self in the world. I take both a person-centered and solution-oriented approach to engaging with clients, and strive to provide individuals with the tools for self-empowerment through various theoretical models. Innately compassionate, it is my hope to help clients establish more adaptive patterns of living via humor, empathy and respect. While able to explore root causes of issues, I also emphasize the importance of future orientation as it relates to personal growth.
