She uses cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based treatments to inform her practice. Dr. Weldon also provides psychoeducational evaluations. Dr. Weldon understands that it is often difficult for children and adolescents to want to come in and “talk about” their “problems.” This why she strives to create a safe and judgement-free environment for all of her patients. She understands that in order for change to happen the child needs to feel safe and comfortable within the treatment setting.
