Often children are reacting to difficult life circumstances and need help processing their feelings. These problems can cause additional stress on the family and damage relationships. I work to help the child & family through the difficult time and repair relationships. When working with young children I use play therapy. Play is a child’s natural way to express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words. With older children and adults my approach to counseling is based on individual needs and focuses on empowering the client to make healthy decisions.
