Therapist Overview

My role is to help you examine and work through your feelings in order to remove emotional weight and expand your comfort zone in a supportive and safe environment. Through our work you will develop a higher tolerance for stress, anxiety, shifts in mood, and the unexpected challenges of life. I work with individuals and couples 18+ specializing in adjustment issues (parenthood; marriage; relocation); relationship issues; depression; trauma; and eating/body issues. I provide a safe space for those from diverse backgrounds including gender, religion, ethnicity, and sexuality. My approach is psychodynamic and CBT oriented with aspects of mindfulness; I help individuals and couples uncover hidden thought patterns and behaviors and replace them with healthier coping skills. For more information about my practice, please visit my website: http://nancycassmoss.com Prior to private practice I spent over two years as a Staff Clinician at The George Washington University’s Mental Health Services
