Therapist Overview
I work with men and women suffering from depression, anxiety, losses, life transitions of all kinds and issues of childhood and adult trauma. Over the past 20 years in practice, I have seen the healing potential of the therapeutic relationship and the transformation possible when both therapist and patient commit to the treatment. I practice talk therapy using a psychodynamic approach integrated with direct interventions. In addition to my general practice, I specialize in the treatment of adults with eating disorders. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, with two decades of experience working with food-related issues. There is much we don’t understand about ourselves. Lack of understanding leads to feelings, behaviors and relationship patterns that cause suffering. I help you sort things out – carefully and respectfully. You can then use that understanding to make the changes you feel are necessary. I am particularly open to patients who have not found alleviation of suffering
