We are multifaceted and complex selves, and all of us prefer some aspects/representations of our selves over others. When our disapproval for some of our reactions becomes too strong or too global, when it becomes impossible to think of ourselves in our preferred light, living can become very difficult and very confusing. I work to facilitate your exploration of scary or disowned reactions, to promote your acceptance of less preferred parts of yourself. My hope is that as you accept more aspects of yourself, your relationships with others will become less confusing, more intimate, and more fulfilling. In individual therapy, we collaborate to increase your understanding and acceptance of yourself and your relationships within a context of genuine openness, attention, and respect.
