Therapist Overview
In 1993, I graduated from California State University with a BA in Sociology. That same year, I entered Tulane University and earned my Masters in Social Work in December of 1994. I have also completed 3 years of post graduate work at Hunter College, New York City. I especially like working with women and Women’s Issues, Personality Disorders and issues like shame, boundaries and Grief and Loss. Medical issues impacting mental health is another area where I have significant experience. I like to think that no one approach will fit all or be sufficient to help a client meet their counseling goals. As such, I use a variety of treatment approaches: Benefits a client might experience range from improving coping skills, increasing self-esteem, decreasing anxiety or depression. My client focus is preteen ages 12-13, adolescents 14-19, and adults.
