I would like to shatter the misconception that therapy is only for people with severe psychiatric issues. Talk therapy is for everyone. Everybody has moments when they need a support system to deal with problems, but not everybody has a support system to turn to. It can be difficult to talk to friends or family about issues as they tend to make comments such as “I told you so” or “You shouldn’t have done that.” These comments do not provide support during the times when it is needed most. I provide a therapy environment that is confidential and emotionally safe. I’m dedicated to making you feel comfortable and understood when talking about even the most sensitive issues. My goal as a therapist is to ensure support that is empathetic and non-judgmental. The ridicule and criticisms that are made by non-professionals only act as a barrier to resolving problems.
