Therapist Overview
Sometimes, in response to life’s challenges and inevitable transitions, we might face them in ways that hinder rather than help us live our lives wholeheartedly. This is especially true for those on the threshold of life passages (e.g., coming of age, parenthood) as well as for those struggling with the insatiable craving characteristic of addiction. Whatever prompts a person to come in for counseling, I look and listen for the wisdom, inner and outer, to help them lovingly embrace who they are, skillfully face their circumstances, and implement the archetypal/spiritual intent seeking realization in their life. To me, counseling is a deeply intimate and relational invitation, rooted in trust, to encounter a process of transformation already alive in a person’s life. Trained in Depth, Existential and Buddhist psychologies, I integrate these traditions in a soulful approach that honors a person’s unique journey as well as imagines where they’re being called to grow. I’m passionate about and specifically trained to offer therapy for those seeking help with: the inner work of recovery (i.e., early and long-term sobriety); gender identity construction; sexual orientation; spiritual questing, discernment and struggle; and parenting (i.e., young parents and men and women on the threshold of parenthood).
