Therapist Overview
www.kinpsychotherapy.com — My approach to the therapeutic process is transparent, concrete, collaborative, and skill-building. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to attend to early learned beliefs to support you in relinquishing inoperable thought patterns that magnify your emotions and inhibit problem solving to allow you to thrive within your role(s) as you see fit. My goal is to attain your goal and simultaneously enhance efficacy, build esteem, develop cognitive flexibility and integrate self-compassion/ vulnerability so that you are able to continue managing your life as you adapt to unexpected changes. Within my practice of adult psychotherapy, my clinical focus includes treatment of anxiety, depression, disordered eating, trauma, suicide, and attachment-related concerns. In addition, the intersection of trauma, identity, and learned intimacy in adults is also of key focus integral to & disparate from adult psychotherapy. Family therapy is also available. Complementary, I provide early childhood intervention to toddlers ages 3-6 and child/ adolescent counseling (ages 7 to 17) to middle childhood and teenagers. I heavily integrate family therapy in child and adolescent treatment to foster help seeking behaviors while cultivating esteem, developmental autonomy, skill building, and internal resiliency.
