Therapist Overview
My name is Scott Graybow. I am a psychotherapist with over 14 years of clinical experience and extensive post-graduate training. I welcome the opportunity to help you work on the issues that bring you to therapy. I understand therapy to be a cooperative effort in which we work together to help you engage with your mind, your environment, and your relationships. Therapy is pragmatic yet deeply meaningful; we simultaneously focus on immediate problems and opportunities for long-term growth. Throughout our work together, I strive to offer help that resonates with your individual needs and preferences. In addition to direct clinical practice, I have experience teaching and writing. I have taught clinical courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. I am editor of the book, Progressive Psychoanalysis as a Social Justice Movement. I have published in a number of professional journals including the Journal of Psychohistory and the Columbia SW Review. My teaching/writing background, coupled with my clinical experience, leaves me especially prepared to assist young adults (20s-30s) and people involved with the arts, academia, and public service. Regardless of your specific background, I look forward to speaking with you about how we might work together in a way that is helpful, meaningful, and manageable.
