Therapist Overview
I am a clinician with 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups. I am an eclectic psychotherapist who draws on aspects of feminist, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioral approaches in order to best meet the needs of my clients. I operate from the assumption that the client is the expert on their experience and my job is to provide tools that will help the client reach their goals. I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at DePaul University in 2016 and a postdoctoral fellowship in LGBT Health at the Edward Hines Jr VA Hospital in 2017. I have extensive experience working with individuals who identify as racial, sexual, and/or gender minorities. Accordingly, I am well versed in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma related to social stressors and navigating identity development. Further, I have spent years working in sexual health clinics and have developed expertise in treating relationship problems and adjustment related to sexual issues.
