Have you been feeling overwhelmed, sad, or disconnected lately? You’ve been trying to keep up but suddenly realized you’re not happy with yourself or your relationships. You know something needs to change but don’t know where to begin. I have several years of experience treating adults with depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem at university counseling centers, behavioral health hospitals, and in private practice. I specialize in helping clients navigate relationship issues and have a special interest in working with couples who have difficulties with communication, jealousy, intimacy, and repetitive conflicts without resolution. My approach is warm, interactive, and honest. I find it useful to explore various life experiences, relationships, and social identities in order to help us understand how they have contributed to the unique problems you might be experiencing. Then, I will help you to move toward choices that will help you to feel more balanced and emotionally fulfilled. Self-awareness is often a prerequisite for meaningful change, but implementing change can be hard. My hope is to support and empower you to improve your relationship with yourself and others, while also teaching you skills to decrease distress.
