Therapist Overview
Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, or grief? Are there issues in your relationships that you want to explore or resolve? Maybe you are going through a life transition or a traumatic event, or want to increase self-esteem and self-worth. The stress in your life may be affecting how you feel in your body. In addition, the pandemic is a collective traumatic experience; many people are experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety, on top of issues they were already facing. It is ok to ask for support while navigating this. When I work with individuals or couples, I help clients develop a greater capacity for experiencing life. I work and live from a depth psychological and Jungian perspective, meaning that we are addressing the symptoms but also taking into account what is under the surface. I help clients develop more secure attachment and good communication in relationships. I bring 18 years of working in medicine with acute & chronic illness into my practice. In therapy, we can explore the current issues, increase resilience and coping skills, and learn how to calm the nervous system. The process may include looking at family & generational dynamics, connecting your experience to archetypal patterns, or increasing the awareness of how stress and experiences are held in the body.
