Therapist Overview
I am a licensed clinical psychologist at Children’s Hospital. I have a private practice on Friday evenings & weekends for children, adolescents, and adults. Trained in evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavior therapies (CBT and ACT), I treat a range of psychological and medical conditions (anxiety, depression, epilepsy, GI conditions, concussions, self-injury, pain, somatization, and eating). I take a skills-based approach to help individuals and families learn strategies to improve functioning and well-being. I use a combination of CBT (identifying connections between thoughts, emotions, behaviors); mindfulness (promoting relaxation and awareness); and relational work (improving interpersonal interactions), all with warmth and humor. For younger children, I use play and art-based therapies to build rapport, identify areas of stress, and practice new skills. My goal is to offer a comfortable space where the client and families feel understood and respected. Together, we will create a treatment plan to help develop coping skills, build insight, and reach personal goals.
