Therapist Overview
*NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS. In the course of a lifetime, many of us encounter periods of profound struggle. Anxiety, depression, stress, and past wounds can impact our relationships, health, and ability to participate fully in our lives. Has a loss or traumatic event left you overwhelmed by unfamiliar thoughts and emotions? Have you spent years coping with emotional challenges on your own and want support to move forward? Are you “fine” on the surface, but underneath feel stuck, disconnected, or caught up in habitual patterns that don’t serve you? These are some common concerns that I help clients become empowered to address. I have a background facilitating trauma-informed therapeutic expressive art groups and am currently an intermediate level Somatic Experiencing® trainee. In addition to psychodynamic, person-centered, and attachment-based talk therapy, I incorporate somatic and arts-based techniques into sessions whenever appropriate. I will provide a safe and caring environment for you to explore and express yourself. Together, we will identify patterns that cause you distress, and allow new ways of being to emerge that are more aligned with your wellness and goals. I will support you in developing a more compassionate and authentic way of relating to yourself and those around you.
