Melinda I Morrill

I specialize in work with couples, parents and families. I aim to help couples work through difficult issues that often make them feel stuck. This may involve assistance with communication, increasing positive relationship behaviors, and practical family strategies. I strive to create a safe environment for partners to honestly express their needs and experiences, and to become aware of difficult emotional dynamics in order to shift them in helpful ways. I am a committed, direct, solution-focused therapist. I have had extensive training in couples, family and parent-child interventions for over 15 years. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital where I currently hold a staff position at the Family and Couple Therapy Program in the Department of Psychiatry. I also regularly participate in consultation. My passion is to help couples enjoy healthy and happy lives together with their partners and their families. With compassion and understanding, I work to help clients build on their strengths and to realize the personal growth they are committed to achieving.
