Therapist Overview
Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, or interpersonal turmoil my goal is to help place you firmly in the driverās seat of your own life. I approach therapy as a collaborative effort and my aim is to assist each individual in more fully becoming the person that they would like to be. Oftentimes this process involves honesty, courage, persistence, and a willingness to let go of that which no longer serves our best interest. It is my privilege to walk beside you as you navigate this terrain in the hope of a better tomorrow. In 2010, I obtained my Bachelorās degree in Philosophy from Central Michigan University and later earned my Master of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University in 2016. I have formal training and experience with implementing evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, and the clinical application of Mindfulness.
