I specialize in working with individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression or trauma that often accompanies major life transitions (launching to adulthood, birth of a baby, career shifts, loss of a loved one, loss of a relationship/divorce, health crisis). Life transitions impact our identity, our relationships and our sense of Self, often in ways we don’t expect. My approach is practical, integrative and rooted in the theory of attachment, the vagus nerve and the mind/body connection. I have additional training in mindfulness, yoga and EMDR, I&II. EMDRIA cert. in progress. EMDR is an evidenced-based approach effective in dealing with symptoms of PTSD as well as negative beliefs related to life experiences. I have a special interest and experience in helping clients navigate the transition to parenthood. My training includes EMDR for Perinatal/Birth/Postpartum Trauma, PSI PMADs Components of Care & Advanced Training in Psychotherapy for Perinatal Mood Disorders. When fertility, pregnancy, birth or a stay in the NICU doesn’t go as planned, it can be traumatic.
