I work collaboratively with you to understand your child and develop a healthier relationship and family life. I specialize in infant mental health, young children, teens and families. I also love working with adults to deal with the difficult challenges life can bring. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a registered play therapist. I use Family Therapy, Play/Sand Therapy, individual and walk & talk therapy, mindfulness and parenting support/education. For children and adolescents, the approach of play is less intimidating than talk and speaks to their language. Play therapy is a method of meeting and responding to the mental health needs of children and is extensively acknowledged by experts as an effective and suitable intervention in dealing with children’s brain development. Plus it’s fun! I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, autism, developmental delays, ADHD, divorce, grief, behavioral issues and more. I also have studied brain research, attachment, and mindfulness and utilize this lens to understand behavior.
