Heather Reid

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with fifteen years of experience who enjoys working with individuals of all ages. My goal is to provide a calm and accepting environment that allows all individuals to feel safe exploring and finding solutions to the issues they face in their lives. My primary areas of specialty are children, adolescents, chronic illness and family concerns. I am also passionate about working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ and/or non-binary. It is my goal to help you create meaningful change in your life. I will listen to your story and tailor my approach to meet your individual needs. I use a client centered and systems theory approach and strive to meet my clients where they’re at to ensure all individuals feel respected, understood and accepted. I utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions such as EMDR, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive therapy and motivational interviewing to help you meet your goals. My professional experience includes a strong understanding of DHS issues, crisis intervention and medical social work. I am also uniquely qualified as I am a veteran of the United States Army.
