I help immigrant, bi-national, and bi-cultural partners work through differences around expectations given their individual cultural upbringing. It can be easy for partners to miss these important life events as well as transitions such as the migration experience and get stuck, feeling hurt or that the relationship is hopeless. Using a cultural humility lens, I also love to help individuals whom have suffered traumatic experiences in life. These include racial/ethnic discrimination, spiritual/religious trauma, sexual abuse, and shame given their sexual preferences. I am a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) and Bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT # 112227).
