I am a Clinical Psychologist and Sex Therapist with over 20 years experience. i am a Clinical Instructor in the Program in Human Sexuality and Sex Therapy at NYU Langone Medical School. While most of my practice deals with sexual issues, I also treat other problems and difficulties. I create a safe environment for my patients to explore their concerns and use cognitive behavioral techniques to help them achieve their goals. After a comprehensive diagnostic interview I develop a treatment plan with my patient that consists of homework assignments to be completed in between sessions. Subsequent meetings are used to discuss those assignments and formulate the next assignment together. These sessions also offer an opportunity to explore other aspects of life connected to the problem, and how they could be looked at or dealt with differently in order to have a better experience. I received my initial training over 30 years ago from Helen Singer Kaplan at Cornell Medical Center in New York. I am very interested in keeping current regarding research and literature in my field, and enjoy helping my clients find happier and more satisfying sexual lives.
