One of the most important aspects of my approach to therapy is offering a non-judgmental and safe place for all people, children, adolescents and adults, for our work to unfold. My thought is that we do this work together to process your concerns and to help you/your family to find the path back to wellness. I use various therapeutic techniques, while validating each individual’s struggles with a healthy balance of exploration into unhelpful patterns. Having specialized in therapy with children and families, with a focus in childhood trauma for the past 8 years, I now work more closely with adults and couples. TF-CBT helps children/families overcome traumatic events, id’s the trauma, normalizes feelings and teaches children/family’s how to talk about feelings. EMDR can help people heal from emotional wounds. If the brain system is blocked, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing can resume.
