Therapist Overview

I’m Thomas R. Yarber, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Dupont, WA, with 40+ years of dedicated experience in mental health. I specialize in providing compassionate and effective care through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy for individuals.

My diverse experience includes both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a focus on substance abuse treatment, depression, PTSD, and more. I have served first responders—police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and crime victims—and have provided essential care to incarcerated individuals facing severe mental health challenges.

As a retired US Army Colonel, I developed and implemented a drug and alcohol Residential Treatment program and delivered psychiatric care during multiple combat deployments internationally.

I hold a Post-Master’s FNP Certificate, a Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing, and a Professional Nursing Diploma. I am certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Adult Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist.
