Therapist Overview
When you are feeling stressed, burned out, or overwhelmed to the point it is impacting your day-to-day life, it helps to talk with someone who is both kind and practical — offering hope and nonjudgmental support, but also collaborating with you on finding real solutions. We all need a guide sometimes when life is hard. I am the type of therapist who will provide validation when you need it but also encourage you to take charge of the things within your control. I work with adults and teens who are coping with anxiety, stress, trouble communicating with a partner or family, co-parenting, and job burnout. My approach to counseling is straightforward and caring. I am an active therapist and offer guided practice for you to complete outside of sessions. I use short-term solution-focused therapy as well as a mindfulness-based approach that emphasizes living your values, in spite of difficult or unwanted thoughts and emotions, to create change in your life. I care about my clients, and believe we can all live a meaningful life by focusing on our personal values and what is within our control. Therapy isn’t always easy, but the life you want to create is in reach as soon as you are ready to take the first step. I invite you to get in touch and schedule a consultation to find out if we will work well together.
