Therapist Overview
This is my work, 30 years duration but it is not a job, it is a privilege and a profound commitment. I believe treatment is a collaborative process, we both change but always in the interest of the patient. Much of the truth resides inside the patient. It is up to me to create an atmosphere of openness and trust so that healing can begin. A visual portrait of this process is the cello and violin that brighten my office. They remind us that in order to make great music the instruments must constantly listen to one another. This also makes for a profound psychotherapeutic relationship. My experience of over 30 years at both the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Institute and Juilliard School brought many artists of all persuasions to my practice. I have and continue to treat patients with early severe trauma of a variety of origins. My practice is very diverse.
