Therapist Overview

Together, we can begin the process of making change. Some come to therapy to address feelings of sadness, emptiness, anxiety, or grief. Others come in the midst of or just after a major life transition that has left them feeling lost, alone, or directionless. And still others come simply wanting a better understanding of self. Whether you find yourself in transition or stagnant, overwhelmed or numb, trapped or out of control, I welcome you to my practice. I am particularly adept at working with those who struggle to develop and maintain healthy boundaries; find themselves repeating maladatpive behaviors; experience feelings of stuckness; are in recovery from substance abuse; have chronic depression, and more. I pay special attention the needs of LGBTQ clients in therapy who face these same issues and more. In therapy, we work to increase awareness and understanding of yourself. If you are new to therapy, it may feel counter-intuitive to come to a stranger for help understanding yourself. In my experience, therapy is a partnership in which you bring the information, I bring a fresh perspective, and together, we make discoveries. This is where change begins.
