Therapist Overview

Schooled in both Eastern and Western psychology, I bring a contemplative, fluid perspective to the exploration of the human mind and the alleviation of suffering. Using a psychoanalytic, interpersonal approach, I help my clients make meaning from experience and expand their understanding of self. Together we find pathways that lead beyond old limitations and engraved patterns of behavior towards a life of greater freedom and ease. I am strong but gentle, and able to contain a great deal of distress. I received a B.A. from Princeton University and a M.S.W from New York University. I am on the faculty of the the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology, where I am a Supervisor in the IPPP program and Associate Editor of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. Please call for a consultation if you are interested in exploring the possibility of working together.
