Therapist Overview

Individuals and families are welcome to contact our Origins Therapy program for support around integrating your adoption story into your life. Our focus is on understanding individuals/families within the context of their environment, relationships, and life experiences. With access to support and resources (both internal and external) healing of the mind, body, and/or spirit can take place. It is our goal to assist in your healing process in a nonjudgmental atmosphere by providing therapeutic support and psychoeducation. Understanding that families form in different ways, we can help explore/process identity challenges, separations, reunions, movement from one family to another, and relationship challenges and questions that can present. Our treatment approach is deeply rooted in the Open Adoption & Family Services philosophy: all children need information and opportunities to connect with all of the families who are part of their origins.
