I work with individuals who struggle with intense emotional responses, impulsivity, harmful behaviors, relationship issues, and trauma. Maybe you feel life has been “chaotic” for you or like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster. Maybe you find it difficult to cope with what you feel others see as “normal” life struggles. My main focus in therapy is on DBT and EMDR. I work with you to help you gain stability, control, and process trauma/ distress in a safe environment. DBT effectively decreases suicidal ideation, hospitalizations, nonsuicidal self-injury, disordered eating, and substance use, and manages treatment resistant depression, and severe mood dysregulation. EMDR is effective in the treatment of trauma and PTSD, as well as many other challenges. More information on these approaches can be read on my website.
