Therapist Overview
I work primarily with adolescent clients and young adults (14-25). I have years of experience working with adolescents with high-risk and unsafe behaviors, and help clients stabilize their unsafe symptoms to prevent the need for higher levels of care such as partial hospitalization programs and inpatient hospitalization. I practice from the perspective of existential humanism which focuses on building a therapeutic relationship based on genuine, authentic, unconditional positive regard to explore and expand one’s idea of self within the limits of the human condition. I use evidenced-based treatments and track symptoms closely in order to evaluate response, progress, and risk. I try to build relationships on trust and authenticity, as these aspects are key for maintaining safety when struggling with high-risk behaviors. I primarily use CBT, DBT and ACT. I am in the office Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday where I offer individual, family and group therapy to adolescents, young adults & their families. I am currently not accepting new clients at this time.
