I am currently not accepting new clients! Please check out my colleagues on our website! I believe that counseling is a journey to self-discovery that you are choosing to stop taking alone. Everything you need is already within you; sometimes it just takes a little guidance to really make the changes you want to make in your life. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients, non-monogamous and kinky adults, sex workers, and those with alternative spiritualities. I am sex-positive and body-positive. I also work with people who have acute diagnoses, and I have experience working with folks who have been involuntarily hospitalized. In my work with clients, I value empathy, acceptance, compassion, & non-judgment. The counseling relationship should be collaborative to ensure we are working to meet your personal needs & goals. My work uses a mix of theories, including: Person-Centered, Attachment Theory, Internalized Oppression, Inclusive Feminist Theory, and Solution-Focused therapy. I believe that people are not defined by their diagnoses or by the stories written about their past. They describe ways our past and present affect us, but they don’t define us. My goal is to work with you to decide how you want to define yourself and help you live a life that honors those definitions.
