Therapist Overview

I believe therapists should listen, not just “nod”. I believe therapists should be just as authentic as they ask of their clients. I ascribe to the philosophy of the humanistic therapist, Carl Rogers, in providing each client with genuine warmth, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. I bring my whole heart, my whole self into the hour with you. It is your hour where you can curse and cry. Nothing is off limits, nothing will be judged and every emotion is valid. I believe everyone has resiliency and that therapy is only effective when it is engaging and supportive. I tailor sessions thoughtfully and intentionally to address your concerns and uncertainties. I lean towards a strengths based, solution focused, highly collaborative, and integrative approach to enhancing skills you already use. As a mom, a nurse, and a therapist, I have a unique skill set based in lived experience, science, evidence-based practices, and compassion. I am honored to offer a place to feel safe and heard.
