Our experiences shape how we respond to and view everything and everyone that we encounter in life. I love helping people gain new perspectives, learn how to alter their thought patterns in order to experience more pleasant emotions, and learn to cope with negative emotions and life stressors. I began helping people with these issues as a family intervention specialist and case manager in 2005 and have been a professional counselor since 2013. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). CBT helps people learn to identify and change negative thought patterns that lead to negative emotions and behaviors. TF-CBT (for children) and CPT (for adults) helps people heal from serious trauma.
