Therapist Overview
Choosing to heal takes courage and is often a decision made in isolation. I believe everyone deserves to find peace both inside yourself and in your relationships so that you can live a more connected, authentic and satisfying life. The wounds we hold often keeps us from connecting to our truest self and rob us of feeling a sense of meaning, purpose and joy. Finding space to heal offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and a chance to release the fear and shame that often keeps us suffering. My work focuses on creating this space together and healing those parts of yourself that feel stuck in the past. With over 8 years of experience working as a Counselor and Art Therapist, most recently as Clinical Director of a Residential and Day Treatment center for Eating Disorders, I have a passion for working with individuals that hope to repair their relationships with food and their body and who hope to heal the wounds underneath that drive their suffering. It’s normal to feel lost and out of control when you have been trying to numb your feelings and it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. It takes tremendous courage to feel those emotions again. Depression and anxiety can feel insurmountable at times. I know that a better life is possible for you and welcome you to take those first steps with me.
